ive also got a copuple benchmades ranging from the $60-$300+. they are amazing quality, super super smooth, and cary very well even in the big knives. the blades are also super hard and will hold a sharp edge for a long time to come even if you use the piss out of it. my favorite of my benchmades is my all black skirmish. its a big knife, but it carries very well and is extremely sharp. this is also the knife that i damn near cut my finger off with. I now live with a wicked scar on my finger!!!!

Carry a Benchmade folding tanto daily. Tough as hell, and I use it like a tool, lots prying. Also have some Benchmade auto's, but not daily carry... Next purchase of a blade will more than likely be an Emerson CQC7B ( I like big blades), or a Strider. Not a Buck/Strider, fugly.

I have a Gerber and an SOG. I got the SOG for like $100. It is a really nice knife. The Gerber, not so much.

Benchmade makes good knives, but they're too expensive for a daily beat around pocket knife IMO. I like Sog, CRKT, Case XX, higher end Kershaw (I have a Sapphire that is my edc and it holds an edge like no other knife I've had), and my favorite of all are the Hubertus leverlocks. Pricie for a pocket knife and considered a concealed weapon but hey, they have style. One of my other all time favorite in-the-pocket-knives is the Kabar 1173.

they make a entry level series that is almost as nice, just not quite as good of steel, no kevlar and aluminum for about 45, thats my daily on the job carry..
i helped a lady get her car running at school one day and left a Benchmade Emerson Design CqC7 under her hood...that was the last time a expensive knife was carried unless you count overseas, then it was on a retractable cord reel

Benchmade is good stuff. I've got a couple of their entry level models, and both of them are great.
