Your Favorite Offensive/Defensive Pocket Knife?
Like the title says, what is your favorite? Specifically speaking of folders here. Mine would be the Emerson Karambit (I just ordered one) , the Emerson CQC-11 or the Benchmade Rukus. Also a fan of the Kershaw Speed Bump. Keep in mind, I am not a knife fighter, nor do I play one on tv. I simply think there are situations that could call for a knife in a real life defensive situation. If I'm up close and personal with a bad guy(s) I'm not going to unholster for lack of space and the risk of being unarmed. Said BG cannot grab a knife without injury and if you're in close it should be relatively easy to lay him open, unless you're fighting Chuck Norris that is.
Emerson Karambit
Emerson CQC-11
Benchmade Rukus
PS- Mods, I think we could use an edged weapons forum. Modded blades?

That would be a great idea.

Of your three choices posted, the Emerson or the Ruckus are the most useable. Yeah, the Karambit looks cool, but cool don't do much.
The other two, if you wanted to go that far, could be used for slashing, stabbing and may be employed in a traditional grip or the underhanded grip. Karambit kinda limits you to underhand slash, and if you've got a finger through that nifty hole, if you were disarmed (and don't think it can't happen) at the least your gonna have a broken finger. Now what?
Pocket knives have looked a certain way for a while now for a reason. You think someone way back didn't think up a Karambit looking blade...?

I agree about the Karambit's blade limiting you on usage but the one I ordered has a blade more similar to the CQC, couldn't find a pic of it. I have handled a few of them and I love the grip. With a more traditional styled blade the knife can be used iver or underhanded for slashing or stabbing. I am now debating whether I want the CQC or the Rukus more.

I carry a Gerber folder but I dont like it I use it alot and there is now chips out of the blade I personally think Gerber knifes are made from too soft of metal for everday hard use. (like prying shit I should do it but I do) Im gonna buy a Benchmade Rukus I think like that one he posted

I carry a Benchmade tanto folder, use it HARD every day. Pry on all kinds of things in cars, cut wire, scrape things, poke holes-- you name it. When I buy another carry knife it will be nothing less than what I already have, or move up to an Emerson.
Had the Gerbers for a while, and yeah the material is kinda soft. Broke plenty of tips off too.
