Guy who owns the gun shop I part-time at just got himself a FN A1 SPR. Gotta say, I'm a little jealous. I think if I had to get one myself I'd have opted for the A2 version with the adjustable cheek height, but beggars can't be choosers. He also topped it with a Leupold Mk IV 8.5x25x50 ER/T. Dayum. I can see the next county.

We've got a work day scheduled for this Saturday at the gun club, so after we are going to break it in and give her a test on our new 500 yard range. Don't think I'll have any probs seeing the berm....

very nice rifle and scope combo. lemme know how it shoots. what is the $$ for one of those, and with that scope, youll have no problem seeing way out past 500 yrds

yeah, no kidding. i didn't really think we'd have any difficulty. i'm looking towards seeing the difference on our optics, mine being a FX III and his being a Mk IV with an additional 5x.

i'll check on my cost for the rifle. pretty sure it's got a good chance of ending up for sale. he tends not to keep things long, and I wouldn't mind having a .308 with a detachable mag. will keep me from doing a badger ordnance det mag set up on my 5r.
