Springfield XD 40 3"

Thinking about ordering one. Found a hell of deal online ($170 cheaper than my local store). I held the 9mm version and it felt really good.

I shot the 9mm and I liked it. Not more than the Glock though. I forget what model it was.

I held the XD at the last gun show that was here in town, felt really good! Would be a hell of a gun to own.

i have a walther p99 right now, but it is just a little big to carry concealed comfortably

well. went ahead and bought one. ordered it from a shop in KY and should have it here next week. can't wait to get it and put some rounds through it.

Looks good. Have you shot it much with the standard size mag? Does the shorter mag fit your hand well or do you have fingers hanging off? I forgot how long that extended mag is. I think that would leave a pretty good sized "thumb print" of the gun if you decide to carry it concealed.

put 2 mags of each (standard mag and extended mag) through it when i picked it up. the gun pretty much rests on my pinky if i have the standard mag in it.

it actually has a small thumb print. it's easier to conceal with the extended mag in it than my walther is. plus the shorter barrell is nice to have.
